my dd 10"s sound awesome.

Would love to do a pair of 10's but I dont have the width for 10's, thats why I am doing 8's

You could always go with a single JL 8W7. My single one is a lot louder and a lot cleaner then i would of thought. The W7's are very strong very good little drivers, the only draw back is you will have to pay the price to the the "dub" 7, but for a small setup it will still turn heads. They are no comparison to my old LI's but most of the ppl who hear my setup don't believe me when I tell them it is only a 8. Whatever though, good luck with your system man!

Id take a RL-i 8 over a 8W7.

You can get 2 for the price of one and the specs are pretty similiar
