8" subs under seats add anything?

I have a spare amp that'll power a pair of Sundown e8's nicely.

I was trying to figure out what to do with it, when I came up with the idea of putting an e8 under each of my front seats. Yeah, it won't fit perfectly, but i'll figure something out.

More importantly, would it add anything? Iv'e already got a 15" BTL in my trunk. I realize this would not sound the greatest, I imagine my soundstage is going to be completely off, but with a BTL in the trunk it's pretty obvious I wasn't intending for my car to sound "good." Iv'e got my home speakers/reference headphones for that.

So how do you think it'd sound? I'd have em in a small sealed box.

If you are just wanting it "loud" than i guess you could a couple 8" subs for midbass under you seats. Like you said though, imaging will probably be pretty terrible.

I remember hearing that the e8's arent exactly optimal midbass speakers though, so you might want to choose some different 8s if you go that route.

if your just planning on trying to run them as subs, playing the same frequencies as your btl, i would say your wasting your time...

I'd like to know how it would sound as well. I actually thought about running an 8", 2x 6.5" and 2x tweets in each door when I was in the earliest stage of researching equipment for my next build. I wanted to keep the rear seats in the Dakota at the time, but I wasn't 100% sure it would sound all that great. I wasn't convinced that I'd still be able to fit my 6-4" body behind the wheel with door pods that massive either...

Although I never personally heard a car with 8's up front or under seats, I have read it will help soundstage. My understanding is the bass would seem upfront if crossed over right. If they fit, wouldnt you cross the sub in the rear super low like 50 down and let the 8's play from 50 to where ever your mid picks up?
