8" subs in doors

I was just thinking about replacing my 10" alipine Type R in my hatch with an 8" subwoofer in each door of my 95 eclipse. Currently i have 6.5" RSD's comps in my doors, and was trying to think how i would possibly wire in 2 8" subwoofers, what configuration would i need ?(2 amps?)

You're better off keeping the sub in the trunk. You'll never get the amount of bass out of the doors you would with a dedicated enclosure because it's hard to seal the doors completely. Do you have room in your passenger side footwell or near the pick panel? You may be able to build an enclosure down there for an 8" for upfront bass.

8's and the enclosure shouldn't take up that much space in the trunk and certainly it wouldn't add that much more weight to that eclipse. if eights in the doors is a must look for IB subs because they are designed to be used without an enclosure.

ur trying to lower the weight? what u are planning on doing with the 4 8s 2 in each door will probly equal out the weight of the sub and may be a little of the box stick with what u have

eclipse are only two door.. that would be 2 8's

or you could bridge the 2 subs off the rear channels of a 4ch, if u have open ch's.
