8" Polk vs. JL?

I am in need of two 8' woofers but unsure what to get. I am looking at either the JL 8w3v3 or the Polk Momo MM2084. Both look like they would do the job. POlk has some great reviews but no reviews on the JL'sacause they are to new. One thing i noticed is that the Xmax on the polk is almost twice as long as the JL, will this contribute to its performance?

Thanks for your help.

Theputz, the polks sound great sealed. Do you have a particular preference in music genres, amp model, box size limitations or budget? It can help people suggest a proper sub for what you are looking for. zSnb it's good to hear a non biased opinion on a make. BTW, all Hondas are slow.

actually you're right on that one. all honda's are slow. not to hijack the thread or anything but honda doesnt make a car that can run below a 14 second 1/4 mile out of the factory. you can make any car fast with aftermarket parts.

funny this topic canme up becuase this is for a Honda S2000 one of the best handling cars on the road but any ways back to the topic. I will have two sealed enclosures at about .35^3ft powered by a pdx 2.150 and listen to alot of hip hop/R&B but do listen to all music as well. I would think the JL would sound cleaner but i havent seen a bad review on the polk's. The only reason i am looking into 8's is because of size constraints. I use to have two 10's so I want a good amount of clean bass. What do you guys think?
