8" DVC Kicker CompVR

You can look on ebay for new kicker comp vr's for much cheaper as well unless you just want to order from crutchfield.

Also, just go to Kicker.com and products subwoofers etc and look up the specific model and then clock onthe manual. You'll see the specs for both sealed and ported enclosures.

Ok, I was looking at the manual and it gave some panel dimensions for the smallest recommended sealed enclosure for each sub size. The dimensions it gave were of a trunk/hatchback box. If I modified the dimensions to give me the same amount of air-space but in the shape of a truck box, would it matter?

Also, when they say the recommended air-space calculations include the displacement of the woofer, does that mean when they say .4 cubic feet the box should be exactly .4 cubic feet, and NOT a little bigger to accomodate for the subwoofer?

Yep, they are including the space the woofer is taking up on those calculations. As long as you keep the same space internally it doesn't matter if you change the h/l/w
