8" Cement Form Tubes

iono what they call it but its made of thick paper card board. if i can somehow moisten the ends of it, i might be able to flare it. seems like it would be less work then flaring an abs pvc from home depot or lowes and then add a few layers of resin when the flare is done. doesnt sound bad for $8 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif prolly use it non-flared for daily though.

There's a tutorial online somewhere that shows how to make wood flares for them. Saw it on a HT site somewhere and it shows how to do an internal flare also. Do a search and I'm sure it'll come up. If not shoot me a PM as I know I have the link saved at home...

Here's an external flare I did for a 10" one. Pic doesn't really show it, but I used a 1/2" round over on the inside and outside. Came out pretty nice and no port noise even without the inside part being flared.

im deciding to use a 10inch tube for my 9515. that way, i doubt there would be port noise. im thinking that if i soak part of the end of the tube, i might be able to flare it using some kind of bowl and let it dry like that.

cant really tell if its flared. anyways, you got pm bro.

they come inside one another (3 or 4 i think) so they stretch....... i thought that you didnt want flex when using somteting for an elclosure????

yeah you can flare using a roundover bit and router, i do it on mmost of my boxes. With pvc all you need is to add a "flare baffle" or essentially another peice of wood on top of the pvc to flare it. Hope you know what the hell im talking about //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
