8" assassins

does anyone have a link for them? im shopping around. tnx:D
ascendantaudio.com

I am going to buy 2 of these for my dad's truck eventually and power them with my MTX amp that was benched at 426 watts and I anticipate that that will be plenty to get them moving

i had my assassin 12's off of a profile ap1000m (500Wx2@2ohms, over-rated) both sealed and ported.

then off of a pg x600.1 (with the trick and without).

sounded good through out, and got loud with power. the 12's can easily handle 400W, if not a bit more (thermally and mechanically)

8's are based off the same motor, so thermal handling should be identical, and i'd assume mechanical limits should also be similar.

Go to ebay search "amps" click buy it now only then sort by price find the price range your looking for and you should see a couple starting points amp wise

It's pushing much less cone area. 400w each is about the mechanical limit for my Girl's assasin 10's ported. As in abuse limit with in its frequincy range. Had they dropped a little below tuning or gotten a little more power I have a feeling they would have killed themselves.

true, maybe AA compensated with slightly stiffer surround/spider (probably not).

but i had my 12's being pushed by a x600.1 with the 2ohm trick (at least 1200W according to the PG rep i spoke with).

SSF set to a safe level, and i could tell the subs were stressing, but no mechanical failure. the suspension got quite loose, though.
