According to the charts provided 8ga will work, but I'd seriously go with 4ga over 8ga for a battery to amp run. If you ever plan to add a 2 or 4 channel amp the 8ga won't handle it all.

Ya until you notice that the next amp you get is like an inch longer. And the cord doesn't reach haha

Ya. Especially when you buy 0/1 (spend good money) Then buy a new amo and notice that its like a couple inches longer and now you gotta go buy some more. It will get costly lol
