lolyour avatar is offering me candy from the back of a van.
There was only one concern I had and that was the fact that the box spans the width of my trunk, and leaves about a 3" space overhead, and about 16" from box to decklid... if it doesn't sound kosher firing rearward I'm gonna flip her around and port that ish directly into the cabin (sealed cabin setup) or should I not be worried? Thanks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifyour Q's will be fine off that power in that box. GF's Q gets 1k+ with no issues. Can't wait to hear your feedback. Lows should be VERY good...
Well, my seats are bench they do not fold at all *however* ... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif ... I managed to break the mounting studs for the top of the bench when I installed the 6x9s... (not my fault, rusty bolts) . So I'm getting somewhat of a vent from the trunk with the seat sitting slightly forward (about 2 inches). And I also plan to cut out the leather that backs the "armrest hole" for more p0rtage... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gifGF's is also rear firing with about 3" on each side of the box and a few inches over the top and does VERY well. Seats fold down, so that helps.
Try it both ways and see what you like best. IMO front firing can sound a little cleaner, but not as deep/boomy, so it depends what you like and kind of music you mostly listen to.
i told ya before that you could just cut out the center of that armrest real quick...but if you wanted to get crazy with your build its better on these lacs to just vent the rear deck...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gifWell, my seats are bench they do not fold at all *however* ... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif ... Because when people sit in the backseat it closes the gap and I get almost NO bass up front, while everyone in back enjoys a lovely back massage //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/verymad.gif.3f39c5c2fd57527b671fad3efdfac756.gif
Shot of the armest you can see the leather-wrapped insulation material in the middle that's going to be cut out... would this make a sizeable difference IYO?

True, I went this route due to space restrictions (the box has about 1/16" of clearance on either side)Well, you save 3/4" of the total width but there are no sonic advantages. It's always better to have the center divider as it keeps turbulence down when the two port sections meet. The triangle in the back will help with that but a center divider would be much more effective and would allow only one side to be hooked up at a time with no ill effects.
I remember that, I might look into the rear deck once I get everything hooked up and ready to go //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifi told ya before that you could just cut out the center of that armrest real quick...but if you wanted to get crazy with your build its better on these lacs to just vent the rear deck...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif
