getting close. i also like how he moved the census responsibility to rahm emmanual. that is supposed to be an independant count for a reason.the change guy is playing partisan politics, and already campaigning for 2012. anyone wonder why he might want to control the census, and how we split the country up for electoral votes, according to population? all this other crap with guantanamo, and his town hall meetings, and the excessive pork deliberately put into a spending bill, etc., etc., sure looks like a distraction, so they can sneak in things, like universal health care.

Our tax money is going to be used for his damn campaign. The majority of this stimilus bill will be spent in 2 years, not over the next 2 years...IN 2 YEARS. What does that sound like to you? Sounds like campaign money to me.

with this 720 billion dollars, we could literally pay off 95% of the mortgages in this country. I'm not saying thats a good idea, but that would help more than what we are doing with it now. I don't have a mortgage payment, but i'm going to guess that if most people didn't...they could spend a little more money to stimulate the economy every month.

I could MAYBE see how taking the cash and giving a check to each person would maybe get some people to actually spend a little of it, giving the economy a temporary small boost. But how is just pointless spending going to stimulate the economy? Its not a chance.

Im not an economist, but couldnt they just cut taxes and spending and people would be better off? We dont need the government to take peoples money, just to give it back. Cant we just let the people keep their money in the first place and bypass the entire situation?

I would have divided it up 50% for businesses to create new jobs (no illegals) 35% to individules tax breaks and 15% infrastructure......
