My view is the last round of rebates and this tax cut isn't going to do a whole lot. If people decided not to spend even 20% of the last $600 they got, why would anyone think 13/week would be any different.Wasn't that what you were arguing in support of? I would think you'd be glad that it is in the form of taxation that you're getting that money, as opposed to them cutting everyone a cumulative cheque now and then making that money back on taxation later.

I think the tax cut is just as shitty as gov spending as well. (cut gov spending if you want to give taxpayers money back, don't borrow and bloat just so you can give a "tax cut")
I don't have a good answer, I heard that the price tag of this stimulus bill could payoff 90% of the mortgages in the US. If foreclosures really started this whole cluster****, then paying off 9 out of 10 homes sounds like a better idea. Shit I'll even be the 1 in 10 that has to keep paying my mortgage, atleast property values would quit tanking.
