72 chevelle what speakers

ok well i recently bought a clean 72 chevelle 454 sad thing is all the speakers are shot dude said he just like hearing the exhaust well i dont after a long trip so i wanted to replace them i want something that sound good when im riding around i need suggestions for the rear and front give me some suggestions i have a price range around 100-250 i dont want to add a system to it like my other car so just something that can pick the sound and bass up good while riding around

haha no lol but for real what would be some good aftermarkets i rather keep it stock looking and yea i cant find shit that fit so does anyone know of ANY kind that that can be just decent and some rears that are decent hell idc what it cost now i got quite a bit saved

to the OP.... how much work are you willing to do? any decent 6x9 will do for the rear, but the front will be more difficult unless you just wanna replace the stocks with the same size....

yea guess ill have to stick with the same size want to keep it orginal lookin inless i hide one somewere i dont even know the size of the front i dont feel like ripping the dash apart right now but guess just throw some good links of to some speakers

6x9 under rear deck no sure about frt but i think in the dash its 4 inch,lots of brands i like the powerbass 2xl not too pricey and sounds great.you could also throw some in boxes on the rear floor

i own a '70, do 6x9 in deck, they sell replacement kick panels that can hold 6 1/2

i am moding the dash to hold 5 1/4 mid with 2 tweeters, and 6 1/2 mid bass in the kick

6 1/2 in rear deck, 4 12's ported thur rear deck in the shape of the boe tie, with 6000watts, be happy if i am in the 150's, -- no radio! all off ipod thru audio control dqxs.

Jensen 6x9s would be more retro for a Chevelle, unfortunately Jensen is junk ...

When it comes to Muscle cars (2 doors not 4 BTW) they should have minimal stereo

equipment...Usually if the car is worth a **** the engine will make all the sounds you really
