700w to much for a 10w6v2?

I'm upgrading my main amp to a new Alpine V12 and I want to change my sub amp to match. I was thinking about the MRD-M1005. Alpine says it does 700 RMS at 2ohm. To much for the w6? It's in a seled box. I've been running it for the past year with a Polk MOMO C500.1. Or should I just go with the MRD-M605 ? What would be the best match?

the mrd1005 would be good for the sub...i dont see any problems with it

700 is a little much. Make sure you set the gains with a DMM

you'll be fine. set your gains like you would any other amp (i mean the right way)

yes it will be ok...you are never gonna see 700 real watts anyways. by the way, i 'll be giving my 10" W6v2's a autotek mean machine..1400 @ 1ohm. so you and i are in the same boat.
