6x9 mounting brackets?

When I got my car it came with no back speakers, but mounting brackets for like a 4x6 or some weird speaker. I got 6x9's from my buddy cuz he totaled his firebird so I tried putting those in with no prevail. Any suggestions on how to make a bracket for the 6x9's?

Use MDF as a spacer/baffle...

MDF is the way to go.
