6x9 enclosures (how to build em ?)

Not usually. They react differently than subs do.

Instructions---- Construct a box. Cut a hole for the 6X9 in speakers to mount into. Secure speakers in hole with screws. Done.

Not too much sience involved in these.

im not sure, but a box made to spec wont be as affective as if it were a sub. since speakers only hit mids/highs therefore, it only only makes noise than 'thump'. but i could be wrong, maybe 6x9's can be used for a decent amount of bass?

thnx

I'm not really trying to get more bass out of them just need to make a cleaner install and pull them out of below my rear deck (because when my subs drop its causing cone distortion on my 6x9's )they sound great at almost any volume untill my subs drop then they sound distorted.(they being the 6x9's)

what about using the foam hats? It doesn't look that bad if you use those, just get some from parts express for like $15 and screw them down, they offer a good baffle and I use mine and don't get any overexcursion on the cones due to my sub. what kind of car is it?

6X9 boxes are easy to make. Just enough space (width x height) to mount it, and deep enough to account for ease of install.

My brother made a set out of 1/2 MDF, I think it was 7X10X5.
