6x8 hole to 6.5" components

In my front doors I have a 6x8 opening. I searched and found these brackets that would allow me to mount a 6.5" speaker in the factory housing. Do any of you think this would actually work, or would the 6.5" be slightly too large. Just for the record I am going to build my own speaker mounts, but they should be something along the same lines as the ones in the link, just MDF.

The car is a 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis, so all you Ford drivers out there help me out!

id go ahead and by them speaker brackets they should work fine, but if u make ur own u need to make it slightly smaller for the mid b/c the cutout isnt 6.5 its sum other number so go to the place where u got ur speakers or look on the box and see if u can find a cutout
