$600-$800 to spend

I have 600 to 800 to spend on subs and amp. Its my first system so i don't need any thing extreme, or competition worthy. Just an every day street beater.

1. Good sq but more geared to spl

2. I want 2 12's or 2 10's not 15's

3. Has to be subs and amp within 600-800

Any suggestions will help.

get a sony P5 2 12's get the BEST BEAST 1200 watt sony, and then u will have enough money to get high with later.

man alright well with that much get RE SE 2 12's with the new RE amp they have it will all be around 600$ and then get someone to build u a box and ur pretty much set

I know that internet companies have better deals than kicker n stuff but i just wanna buy something from a local shop, and im pretty sure they dont carry RE in mississippi. Ive been thinking of some 12' Kicker crv's but im still open for suggestions. By the way if i were to get the crvs what would be a good amp for them.

you could get 2 L5 12s from kicker and a decent 1200 watt amp for under 600.. could be louder than the SEs.. but wouldnt sound as good. if you want to stay with mainstream brands..

EDIT: Welllll if you want to buy froma shop youre gonna shell out some cash. but if you are willing to pay full price for them then comp VRs are still great subs for the money. i think you would end up at about 275-300 for a pair of 12s retail. if you wanted to stay mainstream with amps too then you could buy a kicker 600.1 amp for em. Comp VR setups usually surprise first time owners.

on ebay 2 L5s are liek 250.. and my hifonics amp was another 250.. thats like 500. thats why a lot of people stray away from retail sellers.. theyrte usually so expensive.

i would go online...you can find much higher quality stuff for a lot cheaper than retail...is there a specific reason you don't want to buy online?

If i get 2 12' Crvs with a kicker 600.1 wouldnt that be underpowered? I thaught 400 wats to each would b better but mayb not like i said im just a beginer.

Exactly what is the hesitation about buying from an online manufacturer? Ascendant, RE, SoundSplinter ECT... will give you better customer service, better product, and a better price. But by all means spend YOUR money how you see fit. The suggestions being mentioned here though are more reasonable than paying two to three middlemen’s kids college tuition. All these companies build and sell Subs as good if not better than JL and Diamond. It is just they are not paying a distribution channel and having Retail stores pose their mark-up.
