600.1 on 10" L7 or CVX?

is this safe? i have a KX600.1 and the birth sheet says it makes 710W RMS. i was going to get a 12 since they handle 750 but the 10s are cheaper and also more compact obviously so i can save some hatch space. i'm sure you know but the 10s are rated at 600W power handling. i know people have done it, but is it smart/safe? i'm afraid it might blow the sub.
