6 Volts?

I'm looking into buying a TR6 but I still have a cuple of questions.

If it is running 6 volts how would you install any sort of modern audio system. I was looking into installing a very simple HU. I would want 2 front speakers powered off the HU and 2 low powered 8" subs running off a 250w amp.

Is there any way to implement this system with out upgrading the whole wiring system?

a transformer of some sort? i dunno.

Change the electrical system to a 12v system. Same thing that is needed for old VW's.

Where have you read the Triumph has a 6 volt electrical system???

If it were to have a 6v alt a new 14.4v alt would fix that problem. But it would require an upgrade of the whole electrical system.

I'm sure there are products in the UK to allow a basic stereo.

I am taking a guess here I am not shure if it is 6 or 12 volts. I'm guessing that because the car is a 1970's british roadster that it is 6 volts.
