6 re 8's ported...pics

so after asking stupid question after question, and debating on everything from 4 re 8's ported, to 6 ported, and even 8 sealed, i finally said hell with it and went with 6 ported.

box specs are 3.4 cft tuned to 30 hz i will be wiring these down to 1.3 ohms and powering them with my hifonics bx1000d.

a few minutes ago i finally got to listen to them in the box , i had them hooked up the the stereo in my room and i didnt even turn it up much. and i must say im pretty impressed. even with the little power they were getting they sounded great.

i will not be installing these in my truck untill i can get some sound deadener and time off from work to tear apart my interior. not sure on the sound deadener nothing extreme maybe roof, back of the cab, floor , and doors.

Looks good, but I was never impressed by the RE 8's.JMHO though.

I did 8 RE 8's in the trunk of my buddies(jamaica2g) new g35 coupe on a memphis belle.Flushed into the floor where the spare used to be. Souded great.

this is going in a standard cab, the port will be facing up and the subs facing forward

I did 7 re8's in my ext cab s10 in 3.5 ft^3 at 34 hz. With 1200 watts they souded great. For the price and for something a little different those 8's are definately fun.

Looks really good, considering something very similar myself.

Will those 8's get low enough for hip hop/rap? Right now thats my main concern, as I know they'll be punchy as all hell and great for rock. Then again I don't have the luxury of extra space to do ported! heh

looks nice...should sound even better
