wow thats looks like an spl only sub...

I disagree, with that much throw, as long as it stays linear it should have great low end. SPL monsters typically get designed to play in the 40 - 50 hz range give or take a few and don't need hardly any xmax to get loud in the proper vented enclosure.

while this can be true excursion can be altered by other factors.... this much xmax without some inductance limiting processes is completely useless.... needless to say i could talk about this shit all night i'll leave it at this...
