WHATS A HOME THEATER?
I got this today and omfg the bass is insane.... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif but a little warning to everyone, if you dont have a subsonic filter be VERY carefull while playing this. I usually watch movies at -26 on my receiver and I had heard allot of things about how much bass this movie has so I had it at -37 and the sub was moving like no other, I heard a slapping noise duno if it was the door next to it or the sub...Either way their is plenty of 5 hertz content on this movie.... which is torture on any sub that can reproduce it.

Never seen it but heard the LFE track kicks anus...
5Hz seems a bit overkill, but whatever...
It truly is.... I rather watch a movie like matrix revolutins where the bass is in the 20-30 hertz range most of the time.

U-571 Depth Charge scene is always good and The Haunting DTS version has some 10-12Hz stuff I believe.

I don't care for the super low stuff either, just shakes the crap out of the house, but doesn't add impact.

I have u-571 on HD DVD it plays pretty loud but nothing like the haunting or say war of the worlds... I tried both dolby digital plus and DTS tracks on the u-571 and was dissapointed. I was expecting more bass lol to me war of the worlds is over kill...

but here is some time stamps...

1. Lightning Strikes, Chap 4 (0:15:25) 5Hz

2. Pods Emerge, Chap 5

3. Heatray, Chap 6

4. Chap 7 (0:31:40)

5. Lightning, 747 Crash, Chap 9

6. Bombs Dropping, Chap 15, (1:10:45)

7. Ferry

5 Hz = De Coils Slappy....
Wap Wap Wap....
Thats what happened to mine.. I am almost sure of it now, the door is screwed shut but it still flexes allot, but I think the 5 hertz track made it go slappy and good thing I didnt have it up louder.. I was thinking of turning it up before it happened //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/*******.gif.a649d21efc0d1fd4890a6428166586c1.gif

Dunno for sure how often but everytime their was heavy bass my mic would read 2 hertz....5 hertz is what I read it had on the avs forum but they could be wrong or just that my sub really hates 5 hertz and likes 2 hertz better for some reason or the mic is inaccurate down that low.

My dual Velodyne 15" Servo's handled it with ease. There is more non stop bass in "The Incredibles" than WOTW, King Kong has some pretty intense bass in it too.

The Incredibles does have some serious low end punch in the LFE...

Movie **** but the subsonic data is crazy. BTW, it's a movie not music. There is no such thing as overkill //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
