Wassup Fellas....I need some help on a box for 6 L7 12's...I want it to be loud to the meter(TL,Legal) but still be loud to the ear also...I have 48"widthX18"heightX33"Depth to play with in my 2007 Chevy Tahoe.. I will be running 2 Autotek

MX3000.1 amps to each 3 L7's....I was thinkin of tuning it to 44hz or 45 Hz? What ya'll think? Any help or box design will BE VERY APPRECIATED!! THX 4 THE HELP FELLAS!!!

A wee bit small of air space for those subs, but it should suffice.

Subs up, port back. Make sure you leave room for the port to breathe off the back hatch.

You have to pay for box designs around here, generally. It's only around 10 bucks though, somewhere in there, and most of the people are relatively knowledgeable.

I would tune them to around 38 if it were me. Then again, if you tuned at the 44-45 you wanted you would do better on the lab, it just would have as much authority in the lows.

Best of luck.

i found that every suv we've tested with, i can only think of one exception actually, the box very very close to the back of the vehicle was the loudest.

i agree with 2 inter-changeable ports, daily port = ~35hz, comp port= ~45hz+.

sometimes you cant have the best of both worlds, best way to do good daily and comp is to have interchangeable ports IMO. 45hz tuning for daily probably wont sound very good at all, but 35hz tuning won't get you the highest numbers either. you can go in the middle, 40hz or so if you didnt want to have to change ports for competition.

KOO...THX FELLAS!! And who can do a DESIGN for me here on the forum...I have 3 in there right now that i used to have in my dodge magnum and it peaks at 39Hz on the lab right now...It does 145+ outlaw on the lab...But its still in the box i built for the magnum..So its a bit small in the tahoe...So reading the info yall put up already i think i'll do 39-40Hz...just need a design on how to set up the subs...and yeah it's gonna be tough...HAHAHAHA!! I have a local comp this sat. that im TRYING to get ready for...BUT THX FELLAS!! and anymore help is MUCH APPRECIATED!! Any any box builders in the PHX area....DO holla!! I can drive down or meet half way if you can build me a box...THX AGAIN!!

and if ya'll wanna see my previous box im talking about look it up under my previous post where i was selling my subs....THX FELLAS!

design your own ish!

I got 1' of room from the port to the rear hatch door,IF i keep the depth at 33"...Is that good or should I go closer to the rear hatch door? 7 1/2" inbetween the port to the last panel on the carpet BEFORE the rear door...LET ME KNOW what would be BEST

HAHAHAHAHA!! Im working on that right now?? This kinda was a last min. build..But I dont plan on keeping it in the tahoe for daily....Maybe go back down to 3 12's for daily.....i don't know...If so should I just do an SPL box? I did the Big 3,got a Kinetik 1800 In there right now with the fac. batt still in there also...And yeah I know I NEED hella alot more to keep these amps happy but running out of time...
