6.5's to top Cdt CL-61's $250 budget?

Looking for a set of 6.5 inch components for the front of a 92 Civic LX. Moving a set of CDT CL-61's into the back speaker boxes to get rid of the crappy Audiobahns and add a better quality set up front. The new set will be powered off half a RF 851x bridged, (about 215w per side). Budget: $250. Tweeter preference/size: Silk/1'. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

P.S. Found a set of Polk Momo mm6's on ebay for $215...Any thougts?

I suppose I could go as high as $300...Of course, db will be an issue with the mids so low in the front doors...

DLS MS6. I replaced my CDT CL-61s and the MS6s are much smoother all around. Great tweater, revealing yet neutral. Mids are great too.

Thx for the nice words there //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif -- I have some more budget minded ones as well but they just don't want as much power... -- Have some various different flavors that cost a little more -- one is smoother and the highs are very airy slightly more forward sound to them and are more sensitive -- one is very rich an analytical sounding -- I have a preference for this set myself but the -- another is a hybrid between them -- and then there are some more pricey options... If you are interested just send a PM and I can fill you in a little more...

how do you like your Cdt CL-61's? hows the 6.5's bass sound ?

For the $130 price tag, excellent, but then again I havent heard very many sets of good comps, aside from the audiobahns, which in my opinion are crap compared to the cdt's. I tried to bridge them in the back, but that was NOT a good idea for SQ. Have the cdt's set at about 65hz from the amp, decent midbass. My next step is to actually seal the doors with somthing better than styrafoam and duct tape Hopefully that will give way to a little better performance...
