6.5 speakers/ already have 6x8

Ok I have a 97 Mountaineer. I have a 9515 and am upgrading later to another.

ATM I have NO AMP for mids/highs. I have 4 polk db 6x8s in the doors and just bought some fiberglass kick panels with a 6.5 hole. Also I bought some defroster vents that are made to have tweeters mounted in them.

The Polks have tweeters in them, but I do want to use the defroster vent pods also.

Was looking for suggestions on what to get with the given scenario.

So I need suggestions on 6.5 and tweeters and amp for the 4 doors speakers and the two 6.5 and tweeters.

I am trying to figure out what type of setup to use and am getting no help so IDK if I need them?

just put 6.5's in there instead of the 6x8, you can make your own mounting plate out of MDF so it will fit on top of the 6x8 enclosure

just dont buy more 6x8s, they dont perform as well as round speakers to

i have a mazda so i have the 6x8 deal also.. but i have 6.5 in the front and rear

Alright I wanted to bring this back up. I have the fiberglass kick panels now and the tweeter pods that mount in the defroster vents. I am going to be using an orion hcca 250g4 for the mids/highs. I am not going to have any rear fill. I am going to be using 6.5 for the kicks and the doors.

I have 2 9515's now and I want to get the best possible sound I can get for the front stage.

Would I get 4 6.5 speakers and 2 tweeters or the ones in the doors with tweeters mounted in them and the ones in the kicks w/o and use the pods. I dont have a clue what I need to do please help!

What are the best components that you can get for less than 500? And would I need two pair of these to keep up with the 2 9515s? Is that a better question that someone can help me out on? It wont take that long to answer.,

Look at rainbow germs for 6.5 comps or boston z series. Ditch the idea of 6x8. All you need is one set of good comps with alot of power to them.

duh! get a good amp on your 6x8s. x em over at about 80 hrtz and hear em wang.

polk dbs are good.

Yea but I want to use the 6.5s also, would it matter using the 6.5s and the 5x7's,

I figured with subs you dont want to mix them up so you might not want to with your doors.

Also I got a swiss audio amp for pretty cheap I believe it is 220rms at 2 x2 would this get them going?
