6.5" MDF rings $$$$???

So one local shop quoted me $40 and another quoted $30 for a pair of 1/2" mdf rings to mount my front speakers. This sounds high to me. Anyone in the Dallas, TX area know of a better deal?

Well I was going to but don't have a router or jasper jig, and don't feel like throwing down the money for all that to make less than $5 worth of rings.

I'll get the exact measurements this weekend and look back at this thread. I'll PM those that offered. Thanks guys.

Talk to Jeeper 07 on here he just made me some real nice flush mount 6.5 rings for my doors there coming in the mail. he send's pics though of all his work that he does for you also letting you know how he is doing with them . Also if you want anything changed etc....

What exactly do you mean flush mount rings?

flush mount means the speaker sits in to the ring, so the top of the speaker is flush with the top of the MDF.

A shop has large overhead and wages to pay. Doing ANYTHING for less than $30 isn't worth their time. Hell, I'd charge you at least $20 myself for my time.
