ok, i know that this topic has been gone over about 87586e^1673 times, but all of which are concerning budget set-ups. im looking for 6.5'' comps at about $200-$250ish. i know that PG RSD's will be thrown out, but looking to see about others. possibly hertz, MB, focal, morel, etc. suggestions?

EDIT: looking at about 150-160 rms each and needing to keep up with subs. subs are possibly going to be 2 SPL 15's. thanks

i did, but after about the 1st 3-4 pages, it was all budget comps, most of which were under $100. granted, those listed under $100 are probably pretty good, but i was wondering if there were others that were better and did not fall into the category of

well if you have the funds these are the ones i would buy...i have had 3 sets of rainbows and i loved them all..due to my misfortunes only have rainbow cmx kicks...

basically, what it boils down to is the fact that i dont know where to begin when looking for comps. my last sets were either recommended by a shop when i had my first system and the ones i have now were an impulsive buy and i didnt do much research. however, i dont know what to look for when shopping for comp sets. that is mainly where i need help.

what are the best sounding rainbows, series-wise?

im kinda in the same boat, but im looking for moral, hertz, zapco, and the like. research is key i been searching for sale threads for days. all i see is 98% subs and amps lol. pathetic. i might just piece together my own set haha. but in the end, try to listen to them before you buy if possible. although they will sound different in car than on a wall.
