6.5 components ??

hey guys im on a very tight budget build, im looking to spend around 50-80 bucks on a set of components, but ive been out of the game for many years and im clueless what i should buy for the money,there are so many in that price range from orion to boston to alpine to jl. and im only gonna be doing this once so id rather get it right the first time, i mainly listen to metal rock and every now and then rap. any advice would be great thanks.

well guys i went to order the cadence and i ran into a problem, i noticed the depth of the cadence seems to be to great, these speakers need to fit in a 92 accord xl, im afraid the cadence will hit the window.

You can get some MDF to make a 3/4" spacer(or more/less depending on how deep you can go).

i may just do that, im on the fence now between these or some mb quart that will fit with no mods

I am going to do two sets of the cwm6 for my step dads truck.. hopefully they perform how they should.. they have the sale 114.95 for 2 sets hopefully they sound alright..

well, after further review and talking to the soon to be car owner lol. i cant hack up the stock location/basket. im needing a good speaker in that price range that will fit the stock location. any input on other brands would be great. thanks in advance.

I don't think you understand what we're trying to say. To put in an MDF spacer, you'd just lay it on top of your door, screw it to the for with your factory holes, then attach your speaker to the MDF rather than the door. No actual modification is needed. But if you are still uncomfortable using a spacer, no worries. There are plenty of speakers that would work for you. Do you know the exact depth you can go without being too close/hitting the window?
