6.5 components

Seems like people here are becoming allergic to that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
they just need to use the Search button, that's all i did for a year prior to registering. I have learned that the forum flames burns deeply into ur soul //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Im going to be honest for a second. How can i learn all of these things? I am a complete motor head, ask me a question about the perfect cam for your car or how to install a driveshaft. For some reason my brain isn't good at speakers. Im sorry if i come off as stupid. JimJ.. For a nice, simple set up, what 6.5 component setup with equal or less than 2.25 top mount depth for under or around 200 dollars would you recommend? My friends name is john he just got into a sled accident and is in a coma and his parents want me to help them with his system while hes out, they also want me to install 3.73's, and aluminum driveshaft, and a lunati cam in his car. Ok so thank you i probobly gave way too much info but yes.

your crazy man. Will it get very loud? their only 75 rms... they have only 84 sensivity though isn't that crappy?
power ratings is pretty much irrelevant since the way manufacturers rate them differs. And as far as sensitivity goes, it should only means u need more power for them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

See, my mechanical knowledge stops past changing oil and spark plugs //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

My point with DIY was that all these passive sets have fixed crossovers, which can't be ideal for every installation out there. Having the ability to fine tune that can make a huge difference, head units have built-in crossovers that can do this, or there are external units that go in-line between the head unit and amplifiers.

Once you've broken free from the passive-set mentality, you can shop around for individual drivers that may have more value than something that a company threw together to sell as a set...make sense?

I like to go here: http://www.zaphaudio.com to get some ideas for individual stuff, it's a good starting point for a lot of common DIY drivers.

I've also heard some good setups that used tweeters and midbasses that came from a passive set, but were bi-amped actively instead.

Regardless of what you end up with, installation is key. That means deadening the doors solidly, sealing up large holes for air to escape, making sure the speakers are mounted on something solid like an MDF baffle and clay.

alright well.. Honestly im not really looking to do a DIY.. I just want to buy a nice 6.5 component set lol. Im sorry if im sounding stubborn and trust me when people ask me which supercharger to get and i tell them to do turbo, and they keep asking which supercharger, it gets annoying, im sure thats the position your in. BUT . COMPARED to 52.7 KAPPAS, how would the eclipse sc6500 sound? component vs. regular. And are you sure the car wouldn't sound more full with the rears still in their? im having a hard time understanding that, the music coming at you in every direction versus just the front.
