Tweeter is too bright and overpower the mids. Cant take on the wattage and cant hit the 70-100 hrz range well

I have 2005 ALPINE SPR-17LS 6.5" component speakers in my Ion. They are very good speakers for the money. They have very smooth tonality and are very easy to listen to.

With 33 watts RMS from my Panasonic class-T powered head unit, the speakers light up quite well. The midbass drivers are very tight and snappy, while the tweeters offer exceptionally smooth highs.

I highly recommend Alpine Type-R speakers to anyone, they will not dissapoint for the price.

If you wanted authorized, I would go with some D361's, if you dont care.. maybe some Kappa Perfect 6.1's or some D661's

same thing as i mentioned on page 1..... my m361'a are the best 135 new i've spent on a comps yet....excellent quality. the d3 is essentially the same thing, maybe a lil better, sure the d6's can be found at around the same price
