there are a lot of comps out there on the market, what you need to do is decide what kidn of power you're gonna have for them at either 4 or 2ohms then decide what kind of overall sound you're going for. having front stage is nice, but i prefer comp's all the way around - i prefer to have a central sound in my car where no matter my position it still pretty much sounds the same (of course if you're right next to the door speaker its going to be louder than rest of the car in that specific ear).

Hey man,

I've got a set of those CDT ef61-cf's in the front doors of my 2002 grand cherokee amped at 85watts RMS and these things are great... very solid midrange and CRISP... best speakers I'VE heard. I just need another set of tweeters as I didn't have money to replace them all at once...

The stock tweeters blew in under 4 minutes LoL hooked up as image tweeters on the crossover.

If you cant afford the Hex Diamond also makes many other good component sets like the M6 series comps. They sound imho almost identical.

I liked the sound of diamond comps I heard in a store (not hexes) but I hear they have some bad reliability issues, like the tweets going bad specifically

BTW: You can bi-amp anything...just toss the passive crossover and use active ones (either built into the amp, or seperate) and wire each tweet to its own channel/amp and each mid to its own channel/amp

if you want it loud with a regular speaker a proper set of id chameleons (2 ohm model not bi ampable is great) to get from what i see a bi amp set is $$$ unless they are older models like boston pro 6.5. if you really want to keep up with your subs truely i would get horns http://www.infinitecaraudio.com/cgi-bin/icastore.cgi?user_action=detail&catalogno=CS16MH takes far less power and would image correctly and probably able to be louder than your subs meaning keeping up would be no prob

Ive got some adire kodas, not sure if you can get them right now but i love them, veyr very nice sound
