50hz 63hz 80hz 100hz??

i have JBL GTO 6x9's and 6.5 co-ax speakers

hifonics txi 4408 (110 x4 @ 2ohm)

sub = 10" Q

amp = hifonics 1208

i have a HPF on my hu that crosses at 50hz 63hz 80hz 100hz. i read on here to keep the amp and the HU at the same for w\e reason anyway where should i set it at?

Most people say 80hz, but i prefer 100hz.

Why? If a sub can only respond up to 80 hz, why would you have a 20hz gap?

It should. At least up to 80. It might be able to do up to 100, but I wouldn't push it.

There is a difference, I assure you.

The "ideal" is a 60hz HPF rolling off after 80hz, and a LPF on 80, with a roll off after 60.

Go turn your stereo up real loud and switch back and forth. i bet you won't know the difference

Most of the time mids are high-passed around 50hz, 63hz, 80hz, 100hz.

80hz or so would probably work best for the OP and his coax's.

idk, im scared of having my speakers overexcurse (sp?) lol. i know its stupid
