i never really considered a DIY setup, would the

SCAN SPEAK REVELATOR - $410/set paired up with the MAX FIDELITY MFDT3NEO - $110/set provide me with awesome response as well as a natural sounding tweeter, the one that came with my diamond set is wayyy to harsh for my liking.

Had 500$. Spent it on Germaniums. No regrets, except maybe that i didn't save for longer and get the Power Line CS's instead... the cal27 is sexy. And 6.9" woofers FTW vs. 6.5's //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Now that i have an amp capable of pushing them... maybe i'll sell the germaniums just to upgrade to the cs 275.27. Or the platinums. Oh the humanity... Mmmm rainbow. FYI, the Germaniums are awesome. Cal25 silk tweet, nice beefy 6.5 woofers that are like miniature subwoofers in the midbass range when you feed them enough current, but still stay beautifully clear up to 2khz
