Usually if you can't hit higher bass it's because it's tuned too low, or the box is too big.

^^^That's a system that my friends and I installed, it doesn't do bass above 40-some Hz but a 10Hz note is so loud that it makes you sick. I think it peaks at 18Hz or something stupidly low haha.
