My Lowes only carries 4" and 6", so I'm assuming that Lowe's doesn't carry 5".

The box is already built and I have recently had major shoulder surgery so I'm in no condition to build right now, so a slot is out of the question for now. And as far as the port diameter is concerned, I have a 4" port now and I'm getting a little bit of port noise so I called Alpine tech support and they said that the port velocity is excessive and I should us a larger dia. port and since a 6" port has to be to long they said use a 5 and it should work. And the local hardware stores don't stock any 5 inch pvc.

The reason I have port noise according to Alpine tech support is too much port velocity (too much air being forced into an area not large enough too handle it) not port type.

lol. just listen to us. an aero port will solve your problem. if you dont wanna cut just put the flar external and silicone the tube in. you can get aeros from thrilleraudio.com i believe or from the realmofexcursion.com store
