Well, first I may or may not get this sub. I am going to sell my 8 RE8's though and get something but not quite sure yet. Although, I do have my eyes on Kicker again.

Anyway, if I get my friend's Kicker SoloX 18, what would do the sub justice? I am not looking into competing though.

I was going to use my DEI 2400d amp @ 2-ohm and was thinking of using a 5 cu ft box that is SEALED.

What's the smallest ported box possible and would it be worth it (if the ported box could be less than 6 cu ft)?

Thanks.

If you wanna SQL with some SPL with Solo X 18" my advice would be:

Ported box 4,18 cf with two ports 2,07cf each.

Belive, you will get an excellent bass, without a hint on delay and with an improbable stock of sound pressure with this configuration.

Kind of hard to decipher what yer saying. The sub will sound good in a 4cf box??

Yeah, exactly what do you mean? What size of box would you recommend then?

What size is that box in the pics?

He is recommending a 4.18cuft box with two ports that are 2.07cuft each //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Exactly! 4.18cuft box with 2 ports. Each port volume is 2.07cuft. Why so strange? Because I am from Europe and from begining sizes was in a liters. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

no just because you were using no spaces and "," instead of a "."
