Always go to court and plead your case if you want to get out of it!!!!!!!!
for these types of cases there will be a day when lots of dudes like you will show up..
the judge will be fast and snappy. you can plead guilty, not guilty or no contest......
if you plead not guilty,,, well you better be **** sure you have a case because a trial date will be set and if you havent paid an attorney to sort you out.... you are likely ****ed (unless you are able to crack a deal with the prosecutor. which is reasonable sometimes if it is not worth their time.
if you plead guilty.... the ticket stands PLUS court cost and time....
BUT if you plead NO CONTEST..... it is up to the judges mood at the moment. He will give you the opprotunity to explain your situation.. WORST CASE SCENERIO... he agrees with the judgement of the original officer. Sometimes the ticket ends up being less. Best case... he takes sympathy on you cna gives you a reduced fine..
Relax and be prepared to pay the original fine.. and not much more...
Funny how the general idea of court scares the shit out of so many people, especially when going there can lighten your load.
Granted. in some cases you need to be prepared ( i was arrested as a young 18yo dude with 40+ pounds of weed. that DID take a serious legal defence) but in others... just enjoy the legal system.
