4x6 plate speakers

ive been trying to find some plate 4x6s by alpine and i seem to only come across one set, the ALPINE SPS-4629P. they are in crutchfield and say that they handle 40 rms which is ok cuz im hooking it right up to the reciever. but it says they are coaxial??? what does that mean...ive never heard that term used in car audio before??any help??

i was also thinking about getting Infinity 4652CFP cuz they have those at my local circuit city...anyone know how those are???

Coaxial means that the woofer and tweeter share the same axis.

Tweeter is mounted in center of woofer.

so coaxial is like the opposite of plate speakers...when i think of plate speakers im thinking a seperate tweeter and woofer

I have the Infinities and they sound really really nice. They dont give off tons of bass, but the mids and highs are awesome! Be sure to give them the right amount of power though...
