4th Order !!!!!!!!

Couldn't find an answer to this in my other thread.

I have a 4th order and can not fit the length of aeroports to get the tuning that I want even with 90 degree elbows because of the subs mounting depth.

The motor and basket are the in the ported side.

My question is can If I flip the motor to the sealed side would I have to REVERSE POLARITY??

I'm not if doing so will effect the design.

no, but it will effect the volumes of the sealed and ported chamber so might have to take that into consideration. with lower end subs itst negligible but some of the higer up subs have incredibly large magnets and this can make a large difference.

if you cant physically fit the port then how did you come up with the design your using?
perhaps we could better help you if you would post enclosure dims et cetera. and 4th orders generally have very high tuning and dont require a very long port. maybe some mis calculating was done?

Going another route and scrapping the box. I didn't design the box "someone" else did and they assured me the ports would be a tight fit but to wing and it see if it'll fit. ughh
