4th order BP

I personally don't like BP's. They tend to lose output after / before tuned range... and even at tune range is normally just a little over regular ported.
Not true at all, it's not the BP it's the design. If I tuned a ported box to 100hz and you heard it and realized it had no low end would you think ported boxes tend not to do well for low bass?

OP if you trust that he knows what he's doing with the design, and you've given him a good description of what you're looking for, yes that is a very good price imo.

I will put it this way.. He had two bottom of the line mtx subs.. 4000 i believe and he put them in a 4th order and it blew my w6's in there ported away!! And hes cool If it doesn't come out right We will work out something..

I suppose so. I've only heard one, maybe 2 BP's before, and the rest just dB graphs. So, I have no real world experience with them.

When designed properly, they can have an extremely flat response in comparison to a sealed or ported box, extending well below and above tuning with authority. Also, in terms of efficiency, keep in mind that when you're looking at those graphs in winISD they don't account for the real difference in base efficiency between different boxes (ported vs bp vs sealed, etc). All winISD will show you is the output of the sub combined with the output of the port, which is why a ported box seems to have the same kind of overall output potential as a bandpass

keep in mind, as with anything else, it's driver-dependent as well...not all subs will work well in all enclosure types

if you have the room a BP honestly is the way to go, get it flat 30-60, before 30 there are some songs that have material there, it will still pick it up, not like before 30 there is NO output, and after 60 your midbass should pick up in a good well tuned ACTIVE front stage. Of course this is alot of work and a BP takes about twice the space, for most on here that volume could be used more subs and sheer db. I like BP, to each their own. They all have their place.
