Hey guys. Im kinda bummed, I recently purchased a TXA-6004 from Cadence and an Alpine Type-R 12" (dual 4ohms) for my first system ever.

I finished my box tonight for it and it came out awesome, I decided to add an extra peice of MDF behind the cutout and make the box so the sub is flush with the top of the box now I dont need a grill.

Anyways, Im super super bummed because once I got it in the box and predrilled the screws where im going to mount it, i was lookin at the setup sheet and I realized I can only wire it to 8 or 2 ohms.

So, im assuming I need to buy the Dual 2ohm subwoofer to wire at 4ohms??

help?? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif im bummed

Amp supposed to be here wednesday

thanks guys

ya and im on a budget of 350$ for an entire system, got Type-S speakers and Alpine headunit as a freebie.

Im just gonna take it back and get a Dual 2ohm one. Kinda sucks cuz its like 30 minute drive LOL i guess im just being a wimp.

I guess so (being a ....) anyways. Yeah it would be different if you had the amp and was ready to install and crap... lol

Dude just buy another D4 sub. Two DVC D4 subs can be wired to 4ohm, which your amp does 600x2 @ 4ohm, perfect...
I realize that requires making a new box though...
It's a 4 channel amp so he's gonna end up with one side unused.

one four ohm coil per bridged pair of channels.
600ish per coil FTW
Hehehe This is exactly why I asked if the amp was going to be connected to anything else. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
