impossible i can get a 4hp motor for the same price straight from tc sounds...bump for nice motor though

no. the lms driver uses a modified 4hp motor. (extra slug, larger gap and such. they do, however, have the incorrect picture up. that driver pictured is a 4hp motor also- psy- 230 shipped? ok.. i will do it

4hp motor = tc sounds 5200 motor.. some companies use it or a motor like it, a few are soundstream,RF,eclipse.

Which, wether you know it or not, is NOT the same as my Destroyer motors or my Rockford RFR-1812 motors or RD's SHW ...hince why I asked

You are correct. the destroyer is a janked up bstock concept csp motor. I thought I read somewhere that the soundstream xxx used a modified 4hp type motor.. as I said, a motor like it, am I wrong or didn't you own a few for some reason chad?.. and also don't some team rf subs have a cactus sounds type motor? with a black topplate or the like..?

yes. the soundstream xxx is a different motor (bigger, wider gap) i liked the 4hp motors more

and yes- the black topplate team rf motors are cactus based. have a much smaller gap, and a few other small differences

Now what is the best way to remove my old motor and install the new one? I was gonna invert mount it into an old heavy enclosure I had while using a length of nylon tie down strap and a old golf club. Make a loop out of the strapping and place it around the assembly thn twist the club until tightens and twist. I was a mechanic and when I use to lose my filter wrench we use to do this, gives you a good grip. Now when you twist it I take it that it is righty-tight, lefty loosy, lOl. Also when reasembling would a little drop of blue loc-tite be recommended? Polo..

I am familiar with the trfs...but the ad said a "new 4hp motor" ...so are only the trfs motors called 4hp? I was under the impression that 4hp ment a motor that took a 4" coil
