4ft^ BIG Problem...Help

ok i got my 15" sx. so i start to build my box 4ft cubed i acounted for port and sub displacement built the box for my 96 taurus, then i try to put it in my trunk...nope no go wont fit. my trunk and it should fit by a good half inch. so i toke the peices off from around my trunk still wont go in any one have a suggsetion? i may take thecarpet out too then slide it back under anyone ever have to do this?

Pics? What all is in your trunk?

What are the dimensions of the box and what are your max. dimensions? You could just make a diff box deeper and shorten the height IF you can't get it to fit.

yep after christmas i have to make a new box...till then it will just sit in the back seat
