4channel bridging (noob question)

i hate to ask such a noob question but i want to be sure before i start spending money.

if i have a 4 channel amp, can i run 2 channels to components, and bridge the other two channels to a single dvc sub?

for ex: say i have an amp that does

# RMS @ 4 Ohm: 100 x 4

# RMS Mono: 400 x 2 @ 4 Ohm

i can have components with 100w each, and a sub(dvc2 ohm) with 400w?

yes, you can run your comps on serperate channels, the bridge the last two channels

There might be a "rear", and a "front" channel... Bridge the rear.

make sure the dvc 2 is wired with the coils in series so the amp sees 4 ohms.
