4ch bridging

A bridged amp will sum the channels on the input or use only one input on the amp. Check to be sure that you have the right channel output on the front channel of the amp and the left channel output on the back channels. It is possible that you are running only the right or left channel output to both bridged channels of the amp. Try using the fader on the head unit to see if it fades left to right.

I still havent figured this out, i absolutely have everything wired right or maybe not heres a diagram on how i hooked it up and when i unplug the top rca nothing happens, shouldnt i lose left or right chan??!? Balance does nothing and fader fades to my rears.

help me figure this out its driving me crazy

If I'm understanding, you have a single set of 2 channel rca cables plugged into the top and bottom rca inputs under 1 in the diagram. What you need is to have the left channel of the rca cable run to the front input and the right channel from the rca run to the rear input.

Try plugging the left channel rca in the lower rca input under 1 and the right channel rca into the lower rca input under 2 in the diagram and see if that helps. Some amps when bridged only require one input per channel. I looked around for a manual on this amp but haven't been able to locate one.

Bleh that is the manual but thanks for looking

EDIT: I talked to a diamond rep he says i need (2) 2 male to 1 female RCA splitter's and then split the front RCA left to the left inputs of the amp and use another splitter from the right channel front to the right inputs on the amp, then switch input mode to 4ch instead of 2ch. Seems kinda stupid that the amp wouldnt accept 1 input for bridged mode but i guess whatever works. Also if its in this mode will I still get bridged output even though its in 4ch mode. any other suggestions would help.

Some amps only require a single input for a bridged channel pair. I assumed the left input since everything was still on after you pulled the right input.

An amplifier channel will amplify whatever signal it is fed. Adding splitters, I would think you would split the left rca to the front inputs and the right rca to the rear inputs. Look at the four channel as though it is two separate bridgeable stereo ampifiers. You bridge one pair of stereo channels (front) to the left and the other pair (rear) to the right.

I was looking for the manual to see if it clarifies this, but Diamond doesn't have it on their site for download.

I knew it wasnt going to work but for $hits and giggles i tried hooking it up to the bottom rcas only. Same problem still no balance adjust. The bottom 2 are for left output only. Im going to use splitters. Thanks for the advice though.
