4awg + 1000rms = bad?

I'm thinking about buying the dsc1500.1

It has 4awg power and ground inputs.

Obviously, thats weak.

Im thinking about doing a single run of 1/0 back to my amp rack, then using a distro block to do a real short run of 4awg to the mono and then a standard 8awg run to the 4ch.

Question is, will that short run of 4awg be okay for around 800-1krms @ 1 ohm? When i say short, im talking like 2 feet max, and most likely closer to 1 foot.

4 gauge is fine for about 120A. Thats plenty especially if its a short run

4ga should be fine with 1k in a full length run.

i have a pile of 1/0 here. I'de rather use the 1/0 and get a distro block than have to buy more 4awg, lol.

but thats good to know, so i guess this will work fine.

i got a dsc1500 for the cheaps also. and the 4 agu is a VERY tight fit btw
