Read title.

Here's what i have:

HU: random alpine one. NOT CHANGING

Front stage: 3.5in kenwood speakers. No amp

Back stage: Alpine type S 6x9's. No amp

Sub Stage: Custom built TC7 12(i believe its the 7, 1krms) with a Massive Audio N2 amp.

Battery/alt: stock, probably will not change

.

Possible changes:

build wooden kick/door panels to put 5.25in speakers in the doors, and amp.

New 6x9's or make a cutout for 6.5's and amp.

sell my sub an amp and get 2-3 8's with the same amp, or 2 10's. maybe new amp.

So, Im not sure how vague that is, but if you had 400, plus maybe some extra cash. What would you do to my 94 cutlass ciera?

man theres so much your not willing to change, I don't think you need any help sounds like you know exactly what you want. But if it where me I would amp those highs, aftermarket speakers off a hu sound like dooky!

Well its only the HU that i 99% will not change.. Just because i got it as a gift, and is part of the car now, gives it character:)

Amping front and back stage is a VERY good possibility, downside is i can't install myself.. But even with the stuff i would change, what route might people take? I have ideas of what I want, but more never hurt at all.. Rather be over educated than under educated, especially when spending money.

what alpine do you have? If your model dosnt have the bells and whistles and its a newer model you could order the Alpine imprint system. Basically makes your alpine one of the high end models, boost preout, more bands to play with, and a bunch of other cool stuff. Give you alot better sound and you can keep your current unit

Don't think i have the room to properly run a 15 in the trunk, but i wouldn't be ashamed to run some skar 8's or 10's.. also, my amps birthsheet is 1017 rms, so if ima up an amp i want like.. 2krms;) however id have to get a new battery and maybe an alt.. I love my sub, but want something different..

Amping the speakers seems to be a common idea, and will probably check that on my list of things to do.. But again, open to more and wonderful ideas;)

Now, my front stage speakers will be in their own little enclosure/kick panel device.. will that need to be properly deadened? Id think itd have no affect on the doors, unless i cut open the doors to grow off of those.. Ideas on that please?

Love the feedback already, thanks guys

What are your expectations when you are done? That plays a big part of what you want to do, $400-600 is not alot and will be gone quick if you are not doing it yourself. Do you want to level out your system so that it sounds good on alot of songs? Or just beat the block up?

If the speakers will be enclosed in "pods", deadener isn't needed.. but still a good idea to deaden other areas like the trunk etc... If you're only wanting to address the sub stage you could do a nice single 12 or a pair of 10s or even 8s on that amp. Skar, Sundown,Sound Solutions Audio,Obsidian...a lot of options in your price range. But I would still amp the front stage if you're happy with your current speakers. They can only get better by amping them.

Id upgrade my electrical with that money if you dont want to sell the car?Like a Ho alt and the big three, and good power wiring. At least be prepared for future amplification with good batts, and supply.Thats what Id do

Hmm even more good advice..

first address: 400 isnt a lot, you are right, but Im not looking to destroy the block with my bass;) honestly i feel my sub already destroys the low end bass.. I feel like im lacking a lot of mids though.. anything ~60hz up starts fading pretty quick i believe.. general guestimate.

Therefore, I am leaning towards putting 5.25 speakers in the front doors, and amping those up as well as my 6x9's

also, I had forgotten about the big 3.. But i dont think i could do that install myself, let alone a new HO alternator. Which is something thatd be wise to invest in, because even though its an old granny car (and im 19), it has 47.5k original miles on it right now, so i can't see selling it for a while.

U should buy my skar vvx15 d4 with my fosgate power 1000.1bd 1300rms @ 2ohms //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
What do you want for the VVX? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Random question.. if i am going to amp these speakers.. How hard is it to get a power supply put in an amp? I have a broken Memphis mc3004 (which i was given, and told was an awesome 4 channel amp) and all that is wrong with it is a ****** power supply.. if thats cheaper than a new amp, problem solved!
