u know whats funny. everyone praises these 40.1's and nobody has the balls or even knows for that matter what its rating are. i know the serious competitors do. so ****. this thread has been up forever and nobody has said anything. guess cuz everyone is at finals.

I'm going to own the Street Max 1-2 class if everything goes right. The only thing I don't fully understand is how I can only have one battery and burp WITHOUT the car on... wouldn't the battery drain instantly? I'm still a n00b compared to most.

Own SM 1-2 in like 10 years. Seriously, it's not that easy and neither is building the proper wall.

Really? I don't think it will take me 10 years... but I do think that the proper planning will go into this wall and that I will have a good chance to do great in that class. But thank you for your predictions.

After going to finals, I wouldn't do anything but bassrace if I planned on driving the car. Nobody drives anything over street classes to work if you get what I am saying.

Build a bassracer and you will be much more satisfied.

you won't hear a peep out of competitors until AFTER the season, if then.

i went up 1.7 db on a drop-in againt 2 20.1's. I won't tell you the load. They do seem to be a LITTLE more picky than the 20's.

If you choose the bassrace route, getting super huge amps and dropping real low ohms is not important. I would think running them at 1 or 2 ohms may be a good idea as the name of the game is lasting in your class over the whole 30 seconds and not stressing your equipment.
