4 vs. 3

i currently have 4 10" kicker cvr in my rex sealed.

i can pull max 5 cubic ft. thats gross these call for 1.25 each with woffer displacement.

but thats a problem with port displacement.

so i was thinking about doing 3 .

would it be louder with the 4 in a bit of a small ported enclosure of 3 right on the money.

4 in smaller will be louder (mid to upper freq), 3 in bigger will play lower.

that is what i was wondering, so 4 a lil small tuned to 38-40 Hz would work fine then right.

Going from 3 subs to 4 would be a very small difference. Especially if you have to sacrifice space to do it.

Personally I would go with 3 and put them in proper sized enclosures.

I would think amp power would also be a consideration.

well amp power is not an issue

i have the planet audio BB 1250 in there now (sealed enclosure)

i just got a hifonice brutis 2000 watt

and last week i got a visonik 4000 watt.

but saving it for 2 DD's

wanting to put the hifonics on the 10's when i port them.

i do plan on porting @ 38Hz

and ULTIMATE57 above ^ said they would be louder at higher frenquinces

so i'm just wanting opions if 38HZ is high enough to go a bit small
