in all fairness, if you get the btl your going to have the same issue with the solo x not enough power, im a big fi fan, with the power your talking i'd reccomend a pair of ssd 15's or q 15's, they will put you in the same price range as what your looking for and i think they would be a better option

So you think that 2 Qs will outsound 4 Audiopipes?

What was his setup exactly, I'm hoping to listen to the btl at Florida meet. I'm having trouble finding reviews on my subs since they well are prototypes and all lol.

Yeah, that is crazy, but I don't have that kind of money to spend on amps. This is gonna be a daily setup, not a spl vehicle. Just that daily wow factor.

I knows, Just telling you that implemented properly the 18 btl can have all the wow factor you will ever need.

4000 watts is a good number, it sure can handle more, but from what I have heard you will definately be bumping. If you are going for daily loud factor then the 15's will most likely pull better numbers in the lower hz section, but if you ever are planning on competing 1 18" will put you in an easier class than 4 15's would. I took 4 15's over an 18" Btl, I mainly did it because i have the room and I'm sure I can get it to be loud.

Look into Audioque HD3's =)

2 10's would get ya going!

With that little of power, you do want efficient subs. As said in the Great 12" Challenge, BTL's aren't that efficient.

I don't know his setup TBH, I wanted to go check it out since he was banging it all day... the people on my team would know.
